Witches withes everywhere...
Witches witches everywhere but not a drop to drink. ...Whatever. Re-working the witch to fit the style better. My favorite of these is number 1 but it's too Chinesey for me. That in mind, I like a combination of numbers 2 and 7 the most. Body and creepy claw like fingers of number 7 with more a number 2 face.
I though about making her younger and less "witchy" but then figure she is at the end of her current youth trip and is trying to get the Star before old age gets the better of her. So I made her old and frumpy.
Nice! I LOVE the shape of #3. I like where you're going with #1, but she doesn't feel sinister enough to me yet. She feels like a stern schoolmarm?
ReplyDeleteI do really like the idea from the book where she starts out with plenty of youth (the consumed remnants of the last star they found) and slowly withers and gets as she wastes her current youth looking for more youth. It's poetic to me.
I don't know if you were planning on her starting this way or if this was just concepting her older form? Or if you were conceptualizing her being old the whole time?
I think today I'm going to broach the idea of assigning keywords to each object and setting so we can critique each other's concepts better.
