Dunstan

Character design for Dunstan. The bowling alley version may be pushing the envelope a bit much, but that is the design I like. Of course, the costume can change to fit our theme. I just thought it worked for his character.

  1. I like how you made him burley and broad and kind of cave-man like. I think you hit lot of the key words but I'm don't see the dreamer side of him anywhere.

Also, I know you're just thumbnailing but be careful of getting so far off style that it's hard to judge him in the world we've set up- this feels very Simpsons-esque (especially the hands and eyes/brows).

  2. OH! I forgot to add (and this is just a costume thing so it shouldn't be too ahrd to change) that the time period for Wall (which is where Dunstan lives) is Victorian-era. Now, i doesn't have to be blatant, but there should be a hint of that kind of style in there.

Wall is a very simple place, so the clothes can be pretty simple (they're just villagers after all), but try to keep that in mind. It could make for some interesting silhouette combinations with the character you're working on now.

Tristran is tall and lanky the way I'm designing him and I like he kind of towers over his short, burly Dad. Neat concept ^_^.
